Dr. Martha Ruiz-Shank

Dr. Martha Ruiz-Shank is a bilingual Spanish/Bicultural, Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University and her Masters in Psychology from Chapman University. She has also studied child development and family studies and has advanced training in treating trauma and utilizing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
Highly accomplished, educated, and skilled, Dr. Ruiz-Shank has been serving her clients for over 14 years. She has extensive experience providing individual, couples, and family therapy, having worked with clients combating symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, depression, or even simply struggling with various life transitions.
Warm, empathetic, and genuine, Dr. Ruiz-Shank is a strong believer in the psychotherapy process; she feels that it helps bring awareness to the root of the problem, which can then be used to solve the issue at hand and foster healing and growth.
Instead of helping her clients on a surface level, Dr. Ruiz-Shank is willing to delve deep into their history: who they are as people, what has caused their problems and struggles, and how she can aid them in blossoming into the best version of themselves. Lesley Brown, LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Lesley Brown is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, she received her Masters of Clinical Psychology from National University. Lesley’s experience has led her to work with individuals, couples, and families including children and adolescents, who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma. She has a client-centered and non-judgmental approach and provides therapy that is collaborative with the client.
Lesley’s experience has also led to working alongside others who have been impacted by anxiety, depression, or trauma that may have involved eating disorders, substance abuse, or other co-occurring disorders.
She specializes in trauma working with all ages, including, children, adolescents, or adults who have experienced significant events that are impacting their lives. Lesley believes that anyone who has experienced trauma can receive support and treatment to heal and overcome these to have a more fulfilling life.
She is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and integrates those into her therapy. Other specialties include Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solutions Focused Therapy.

Rocio Anaya, LMFT

Rocio Anaya is a bilingual Spanish/Bicultural, Licensed Marriage, and Family Therapist. She received her Masters of Psychology from Chapman University. Rocio’s experience has led her to work with individuals, couples, and families including children and adolescents, who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma. Rocio is warm and empathic and is acutely attuned to her client’s needs to ensure growth.
Rocio’s experience has also led to working alongside others who have been impacted by anxiety, depression, or trauma that may have involved gender or body dysphoria, parenting, domestic violence, substance abuse, or other co-occurring disorders.
She specializes in LGBTQ+, gender affirming, gender awareness, as well gender or body dysphoria of all ages. She also has experience working with adults, children, and adolescents presenting with symptoms of suicidal ideations and non-suicidal self-injury. Rocio believes that people hold inner knowledge of what they need or untapped intuition and works diligently at helping clients discover and apply it to work through their presenting issue (s).
Alix Sanchez, LMFT

Dr. Alix Sanchez is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Psychological Associate under the supervision of Dr. Martha Ruiz-Shank, PSY28729 (Licensed Clinical Psychologist), specializing in the treatment of anxiety and trauma-related disorders. She holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and a Doctorate Degree in Psychology from California Southern University.
Dr. Sanchez has worked in a variety of mental health settings including; low-cost community clinics, nonprofit, and private practice. She has a special connection to helping others work through anxiety, self-blame, perfectionism, guilt, grief, stress, interpersonal struggles, self-doubt, trauma, and relationship and self-esteem issues. Dr. Sanchez has training in narrative therapy, feminist therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, and EMDR.
As a clinician, she takes into special consideration the role of family expectations; gender, age, societal and cultural norms, and the way in which they impact mental health. Dr. Sanchez believes that the client is the expert in their own lives and holds the capabilities to impact their wellbeing. Through each therapeutic journey, she uses a combination of her therapeutic training, intuition, and empathic skills to work as a bridge to assist clients in connecting to their own deeper wisdom. It is through this wisdom that clients can become reintroduced to their preferred identities and ways of living. Dr. Sanchez hopes to destigmatize mental health issues and empower her clients to rediscover their values, meaning, and unique truths.
Vicky Popper, LMFT

Vicky Popper is a, Bicultural, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She received a Masters of Arts in Psychology from Chapman University. Vicky’s approach is collaborative in an effort to help clients identify their dreams and desires, in order to encourage and empower them to make positive changes. She is understanding, compassionate, and also has a non-judgmental approach to help foster an environment where the client feels supported throughout their therapeutic journey.
Vicky’s experience has led her to work alongside children, adolescents, individuals, couples, and families struggling with various life transitions, depression, anxiety, and trauma. Vicky is passionate and committed to helping clients. It is imperative for her to develop a deep understanding of the issue at hand in order to effectively help her clients during their healing journey.
Vicky has been practicing in both the behavioral health and medical care field for over ten years. Her love and commitment to others fuels her passion to continue her calling in this field. Katie Estberg, MS, Ed., BCBA

Katie Estberg is a Registered Psychological Assistant under the supervision of Dr. Martha Ruiz-Shank, PSY28729 (Licensed Clinical Psychologist) and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Katie has her certificate for Organizational Behavior Management (OBM) and is currently receiving her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University. She received her Masters in Special Education as well as her Mild/ Moderate Teaching Credential from National University. Katie has over 15 years experience in child and adolescent development. Specifically, focused with children on the spectrum.
Katie understands that life is beautiful and has struggles along the way that we need support from others to address and overcome. She wants to be that support and calm for others in their storms, in order to find the light and the path forward together.
Katie is passionate about many things, but especially caregiver education. She feels strongly that by educating parents, as well as helping them identify and address their own personal traumas and pasts, can help to heal the whole family. Katie's goal is to create a caring and nurturing environment for adults and children so they can reach our highest potential together.
